He became devoted to his religion, Serbian Orthodox, and he studied the Bible. He visited many monasteries including Hilandar in Greece and was very drawn to the Holy Church of Septika in Jerusalem. He worshipped two Saints in particular, Saint Archangelo and Saint Petka. He had tattooed on his right arm his guardian angel, Saint Archangelo.

From a healthy young man at the young age of 19, out of the blue he was diagnosed with Type-A diabetes. He had to inject insulin 4 times a day.

In the year of 2000 while on a family holiday at the Dead Sea in Israel, while crossing a pedestrian crossing, a lorry travelling at 75km/h hit him and drove off leaving him to die. His injuries were so severe that he had less than a 5% chance of living. When he came to from his coma his first words were: "Mum can you get me Queen's Greatest Hits Volume 2 and a Walkman". Petar was fortunate as his beautiful face was unmarked. His survival was a true miracle!

Petar decided to travel to Belgrade to learn more about his culture and religion. He travelled all around Serbia and frequently visited his family both in Serbia and Montenegro, but his home was London.

Petar was a survivor. He had a very strong personality. He was firm in his views and believed that you must want to help yourself. He gained his strength from his strong religious beliefs, believing that God and his guardian angel had saved his life.

He was always ready to listen and to help those in need.

His dog, Laki, whom he bought at two months old and taught to sing to Eminem, "Shady's back" was the love of his life.

Having survived all this, having his life taken is even more shocking.
