HIS DEATH |
|
|
On the 27th of January 2004, British time, his mother received a telephone call from Aleksandar Stojsavljevic at approximately 03:00 stating that Petar was dead. On the morning of the 27th of January his father and other members of his family traveled to Belgrade. The Serbian authorities refused to allow Petar’s family to see his body. No reasons were given for their refusal. On the 28th of January 2004 it is alleged that Petar’s body was in the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Belgrade where an alleged post-mortem was conducted. No proof has been provided to the family or their legal advisors in Serbia that his body was ever at the Institute. No medical certification of death was ever provided. The same day his body was flown to London Heathrow and the flight landed at 12:40. Between the hours of 12:40pm and 21:00 his family were unaware of the whereabouts of Petar’s body. The family received a call from Wembley Funeral Services informing them that Petar’s body was in a Harlesden warehouse and not a public mortuary. At approximately 21:30 the family went to the warehouse. The coffin was open and Petar’s nose was injured and he was fully dressed.
On the 30th of
January 2004, Petar’s mother was informed that Petar’s body had been
taken to Northwick Park Hospital NHS Trust and that she could attend the
Hospital to see her son.
The family was not kept informed at any stage as to what was to follow. On Saturday 31st of January 2004, when the family again attended Northwick Park Hospital NHS Trust, Petar’s body had been moved from its original coffin. He had been undressed and placed in another coffin. His face had been marked where it had not been before and there was blood to the back of the head, also not previously present. The coroner’s officer informed Petar’s mother that his heart was not with the body. Petar’s mother discovered that in addition to the heart missing, his pancreas, endocrine glands and liver were also missing. To date no information has been provided to the family as to the whereabouts of their loved one’s organs. No investigation was ever conducted in relation to the circumstances surrounding Petar's death and/or the missing organs. On the 4th of February 2004 Petar was buried. Petar’s cause of death is unknown.
Petar's mother has not been provided with a death
certificate despite many requests. |
